Dec. 13, 2019, timed to the approaching winter solstice, the HOMELAND seminar was launched in Kyiv. Announcement - Welcome to the HOMELAND SEMINAR
Held at the revolutionary Cossack House, which served as the first training and mobilization center for the Ukrainian volunteers fighting the Kremlin's armed aggression in the East, it has become a true laboratory of the European archeofuturism discussed on multiple occasions by Ukrainian nationalists of a new generation.
In her opening remarks on metahistory, Olena Semenyaka explained the concept of the seminar as the platform for the Indo-European, mythological, traditionalist, etc. studies, as well as field expeditions within the sacred geography research. She linked the discovery of a big part of the Proto-Indo-European homeland in the southern teritorries of modern Ukraine to the metahistorical perspective of Ernst Jünger in his book "At the Wall of Time," as well as drew attention to his influence on the Italian school of geophilosophy and the Antaios journal co-edited by Mircea Eliade.
Eugene Vriadnyk disclosed the archeofuturist response to the collapse of modern ideologies, social relations and state institutions, as well as the growing barbarization of mankind, in the Ukrainian post-revolutionary conext, the role of the volunteer movement in particular.
Sergiy Zayikovsky, who actively translates to Ukrainian European New Right authors, presented a Ukrainian translation of Georges Dumézil's classic book, "Mitra-Varuna." On the eve of the rebirth associated with the winter solstice, he called to draw inspiration from the cosmic function of Varuna, among others, representing "creative chaos."
Ivan Mikheev, Russian political emigrant and publicist, who currently prepares an English edition of Dobroslav's works, familiarized the audience with a unique life path and original ideas of this Russian volkhv who went through Soviet GULags and whose books on Heathenism were put on the list of extremist literature by Putin's regime.
Surprise lecture on the ecological revolution of Pentti Linkola by one of the scheduled speakers who could not make it to Kyiv will be uploaded online in a week.
Apart from the guests from Europe and beyond, the seminar was attended by Ukrainian archeologists who research the origins of the Slavs and the Gothic legacy in Ukraine.
